Job Title：Technical Consultant
Working Location: Beijing
Organization: Oracle Systems R&D Team
Oracle Systems Introduction: Formerly is SUN China Engineering & Research Institute, Sept. 2010 became part of the Oracle Asia R&D Centre, Significant engineering focus on Solaris, OpenStorage and Java, key products including Sever, Storage & Operating Systems, there’re 200+ people in China;
Training：Would have a 6-9 months consistent training after joining Oracle, including social Activity, speaker series, career development and oracle English training, and etc.
Department Description:
ISV Engineering is a global team for making our ISV(Independent Software Vendor) applications run best on Sun/Oracle's platform.
We execute the following engineering activities with ISVs that benefit Oracle's strategic position & revenue:
• Discovery (e.g. find technology synergies with ISVs)
• Technology Adoption (e.g. port to Solaris features)
• Performance (e.g. optimize ISV application on SPARC)
• Collateral (e.g. Create Blueprint describing best practices)
• Feedback (e.g. Track Bug or RFE's submitted by ISVs)
• Experts for Oracle stack on Solaris/Server/Storage
Specific Responsibilities:
• Communicate & educate with different level of internal/external stakeholders
• Support global & local ISVs and help porting their applications to Sun/Oracle platform
• Support global & local ISVs for performance tuning, sizing study & benchmark
• Study & promote most popular IT technologies from Oracle and work as evangelists
Knowledge & skill requirement:
• Good communication skill in Chinese & English
• Excellent teamwork spirit
• Experienced in Java programming (Java EE is preferred)
• Good knowledge in system administration for Unix platform (Solaris is preferred)
• Knowledge on Oracle Database/Middleware/Applications is a good plus
• BS/MS in computer science is preferred
