Job Overview
This position is responsible for creating and / or maintaining software

applications for CA ARCserve family products. Provide complex code modification,

testing and debugging tasks. Provide high level analysis related to software design

and development and solve problems.
Key Responsibilities
 Design and code, often for the complex units / modules / products that meet

functional and business requirements on schedule and within budget.
 Fix bugs, add enhancements. Perform unit / module testing of software to

find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
 Write automation and unit testing codes for newly created programming

features and functions.
 Assist quality assurance team by providing assistance to testers and

support personnel as needed to determine system problems.
 Collaborate with quality assurance in creation of their test plans and

participate in reviews.
 Evaluate impact of software performance, and recommend changes to software

design team.
 Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic,

coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
 Set up software configuration control and software development environments

including program source control to ensure reliable backups and source code

integrity.
 Participate in design and code reviews with other developers.
Skills and experience
1. Strong programming experience in Java technologies like J2EE and XML Web

Services.
2. Strong object-oriented programming experience.
3. Strong sense of quality.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
5. Hands-on experience on developing web based business applications.
6. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
7. Has passion for solving complex problems. Working smart and good learning

ability.
8. Storage software development experience is a big plus.
9. Agile process experience is a plus.
10. C / C++ programming experience is a plus.
11. Experience with database and SQL queries is a plus.
12. Prior automation experience using QTP, VB Scripts, Python, or Ant is

desirable.
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline.

Master's degree or global equivalent is a plus.
Work Experience
Typically 2 or more years of experience in software development.

Job Overview
This position is responsible for verification that the product is implemented to

the stated requirements and validation that the product functions as designed.

Build and execute functional and customer use case focused tests that verify the

accuracy and reliability of assigned products meet stated requirements.
Key Responsibilities
 Work with development team to understand assigned modules/new product

features for the purpose of developing test cases
 Participate in the design spec reviews to understand design, contribute

quality requirements and ensure testability
 Evaluate and build test automation framework
 Develop and perform automated test
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
Work Experience
Typically 2 or more years of experience in a related role. Automation development

experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
 Good programming skills in at least two of the following languages: C/C++,

Java, VB, Python, QTP, etc
 Solid foundation in computer science, with strong coding skills and system

design abilities
 Familiar with test automation tools like QTP, QC, STAF etc.
 Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies, common software technologies

and web-based applications
 Good trouble shooting skills.
 Computer operating system, appropriate subsystems and test tool knowledge.
 Familiarity with multiple hardware and OS platforms.
 Good English in both speaking and writing
 Familiar with Agile related methodology, process;
 Embrace changes
