The First International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech) aims to bring together experts in engineering, communications, physical sciences, and health sciences as well as computer and computation specialists with the common goal of applying information and communication technologies for Ubiquitous-healthcare and Ubiquitous-environment systems and applications - two areas that are at the top of the agenda is most countries around the globe.
Some of the topics to be covered by top specialists from around the globe include:
- Smarter homes, smarter medical centers, smarter planet, better healthcare
- Emerging information and communication technologies for U-Health
- Pervasive and ubiquitous wireless health systems, networks and services
- Wearable and implantable wireless sensors for U-Health
- Medical electronics for better healthcare
- Biomedical and biosensors engineering
- Advanced technologies for emerging applications in U-Health
- U-Health for aging
- Emerging U-Health applications and architectures
- ICT systems for personal healthcare
- Security, privacy and intrusion detection on healthcare systems

- Network protocols and architectures for healthcare
- Cloud computing for healthcare systems
- Cross-layer optimization and design

- Power-aware architectures, algorithms, and protocols
- Resource management and QoS provisioning
The symposium will include oral presentations of theoretical and experimental achievements, innovative U-Health systems, prototyping efforts, case studies and advances in technology related to U-healthcare & Smart Homes.
Papers should describe original, previously unpublished work, not currently under review by another conference, workshop, or journal.
- Authors should clearly identify how their considered topics relate to issues on Ubiquitous Healthcare Communication Systems, applications and services.
- Proposals describing an overall working system are particularly of interest.
- Papers are limited to 6 printed pages (including figures and references). Accepted papers will be presented orally.
- Papers must follow the standard IEEE conference template (two column, single-spaced, 10 point font, etc.)
- Papers must be submitted online via EDAS link (https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=14631) in the conference website, and must be in Adobe Acrobat PDF.
- Accepted and presented papers will be published in IEEE Xplore and be EI indexed.
- Best selected papers will be published in the **International Journal on E-Health and Medical Communications (IJEHMC)**.
