In the modern large-scale computing, whether it is cloud computing, virtualization, or blade servers, it requires serious features at the firmware level to enable business critical features. Firmware has gone beyond a basic feature for booting up the computer. For enterprise level servers/blades, these features require software/hardware architecture, software engineering, and testing methodology/process/execution. This position provides: 1. An excellent R&D environment where o you are exposed to start-of-the-art technologies, especially for validation work of large scale systems, o you regularly interact with engineers around the globe, which allow you to expend your expertise, ideal, and concept. 2. A highly effective management which cares both about the success of projects and its people. 3. You will be exposed in a R&D engineering projects you have rarely opportunity to access where you can fully utilize your creativity and has great potential of growth in an international company HP, well-known for its innovation and products. Responsibilities: As a quality engineer, you will be working closely with other firmware developers and quality engineers globally to ensure the qualify of firmware developed. You will be using your creativity in enhancing the test plans and test suites, and focus on execution of test cases. In addition, you will be participate in problem isolation for challenging complex x86-based systems. Qualifications(Would like to have): 1. Familiar with software/firmware testing methodology and hands-on experience and development techniques and tool sets for test tools and automation. 2. Knowledge of computer architecture, x86 architecture, and OS architecture. 3. Linux/UNIX/Windows QA experience 4. Knowledgeable in large scale servers 5. Knowledge of industry standards including ACPI, USB, SMBIOS, UEFI, and PCI/PCI-express. 6. Knowledgeable in virtualization technology Soft Skills: 5. Responsibility and discipline 6. Communication: Fluent written communications in both English and Mandarin 7. People Networking: good technical networking in the industry. 8. Strong teamwork, and collaboration skills working that extend across cultural an ethnic backgrounds in global settings. |
